Wherefore can we doubt?

Hey all...so its been a while. But this year I want to start something different. I am in a Book of Mormon class and I am so grateful because it makes me study this great book! I also get to share what I learned on social media...so Blog post it is!

1 Nephi 1-7 Faith, Edurance, Trust

It just kind of hit me while reading these chapters how little of the Lord's plan Lehi, Nephi, and everyone knew. Lehi prayed to know. Nephi prayed to know and they were given snippets. He was given enough. He knew he was to flee Jerusalem but he didn't know he would have to go back to get the plates. He was told to return but he didn't know how to get the plates or the number of times it would take to "convice" Laban. They had to "go up again" to Jerusalem, to Laban. Nephi even says that he "was led by the spirit not knowing before hand what [he] should do." I don't know how many times I'm going to have to fail or struggle before I can succeed in order to learn a lesson BUT I do know that every time Nephi had the faith to ask, to try, to do; the Lord responded in kind: "Blessed art thou...because of thy faith" We WILL be blessed. Isn't it amazing!? Oh its going to be hard. The Lord knows that. He makes it that way because that's how we grow. We aren't supposed to know everything, but, the Lord gives us ways to cope and overcome. THE SCRIPTURES and PRAYER! If we hold to the Gospel and like Zoram did "take courage" from them we will be at peace in what we do. The Lord will bless us for our faith and endurance. So then, "let us be faithful" because, "wherefore can we doubt?"

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love how our loving Heavenly Father give us every opportunity to succeed.
