I'm a True Nebraskan and On a Separate Note I've Never Been So Glad to Have Worthless Major In My Life! Also, Twilight converts people?

Dear Family,

Esta semana fue una semana de muchos milagros!! Dios nos ama mucho y conoce todos sus hijos. TODOS.

So MIRACLE MOMENTS!

Miracle 1:
We were in Walmart a couple weeks ago on P-day you know buying groceries and what not. This guy stops us and is like "Hey! Mormon girls!" Some of the sister contacted this guy who was atheist but he was like "Yeah my wife and sons are totally into that crap" only he didn't say crap. Anyway he was with his wife and she was like "Yeah! I've been meaning to get a hold of you girls but I just kept forgetting to call the number you left with my husband." She has 3 young sons, ages 10, 11 and 12, and the 12 year old has been wanting to go to "youth group". And we told her when Mutual was and she was like should we go to church to check out what your church is about first and we were like that is a FANTASTIC idea you know thinking GOLDEN!! Anyway so we got her number and address. We didn't see her at mutual and last Sunday we didn't see her at church so we ran out of backups like ALL our appointments fell through and we were just like...whatever lets go check and see how Walmart is doing. So we go and we talk with them for like an hour until 9 and then we head home but we committed them to come to mutual. We hadn't taught a lesson yet. Just on a whim went to see if they were there. WELL, we texted her on Tuesday to remind her that mutual was that night but we didn't get a text back (come to find out we transposed numbers and we had to get her right number. that was our bad). We go to see this less active family Tuesday night around 6:45 that has a 12 year old daughter that isn't baptized that we want to start teaching. She says she's going to mutual. We get in the car and are hermana and I look at each other and are like. We need to go to mutual. Guess who's there! Walmart! and her 3 sons! Pure revelation and guidance of the spirit! Her sons have a BLAST! The activity was joint YM/YW and they are making forts that "point to the temple" like a king Benjamin type thing. They love it she loves that they love it. A video is shown about the temple and she love it. She said "I love how you're kids have good, wholesome, clean fun." Anyway, She has a best friend that is in the Lakeview ward in the Omaha Stake. Guess how they met? Online fanfiction for twilight. They co-write stuff together. That's why she started liking Mormons so much and wanted to learn more! Twilight is a converter. That's my second time hearing that. Anyway stories not done. We parked our car in the church parking lot and were just getting out of an appointment. Her car whips in with her family and she goes "MY PEOPLE!" She comes in and asks us, "So when can I start taking my converting lessons?" She bought clothes to go to church. and she was complaining about finding modest clothes. We were like welcome to our lives! She took out all of her lip and eye and extra ear piercings. So did her husband. She's stopped drinking coffee and tea. Her husband is going to try and quit smoking.  She downloaded the hymns and children's songbook onto her iphone.  Her son has downloaded the Book of Mormon.   They came to church and stayed all three hours and were so into it.  The only problem is that they are moving in 2 weeks!  SO SAD! We love her! Her kids are AWESOME! and her husband is from New Zealand has a sick accent and is an injured marine.  They've been married for 14 years and don't believe in divorce.  She wants to put us in her pockets and take us where they are moving.  We are having lunch with her tomorrow and starting the lessons.  AMAZING RIGHT!?!?

Miracle 2:
We taught this guy that we've been trying to get a hold of and during the Restoration Lesson at the end before we could even ask him or anything he was like I want that spirit. I want the blessing. I need the Holy Ghost. What do I do next? How do I get baptized? He's been going to school getting his masters. He wants to be a soccer coach but his parents want him to go into something more stable and lucrative like physical therapy but he was like those kind of jobs make me miserable. Soccer is my passion. He described the feeling he got when we told him about the first vision like he was so happy he didn't know if he should laugh or not. That he only got that feeling when playing soccer. So being in a worthless major that I love and my companion  being an art education major knew how he felt. I was like my dad and mom love me, like I'm sure your parents love you. They want us to be happy and to be able to support ourselves. my dad asked me what i was going to do with that major. but i knew that American Studies is where I'm supposed to be. I prayed about it before I entered the major. Its what I love. My companion said the same thing. That the Spirit helped guide her to her choice. And he was like. I need those blessing and I feel like what you've said is true. What next? How do I get baptized? MIRACLE! We just need to get him to church because his soccer games for kids he coaches is on Sundays :( Opposition in all things! It is GONNA HAPPEN! He's committed for baptism for Oct 12 if he gets to church.

Miracle 3:
We taught our other investigator friend. She UNDERSTOOD! She GETS IT! We taught her with visuals and she gets it! She even took a picture of the visuals so she could study it more! She is reading and praying everyday. She has a hard time feeling the spirit or i guess i should say recognizing it. Holy heck I love this work!!

We went to see this less active person that has had a rough life. She basically said that Christ doesn't know what she's gone through because "at least he got out of the Garden of Gethsemane"   No. Christ suffered EVERYTHING for us. He knows perfectly how we feel because he bled and suffered for you! he will NEVER abandon us. He is our Savior and the ONLY reason He did ANY of that for us is because He loves us and He loves our Heavenly Father. HE LOVE YOU. How else are we going to be able to let things go, move on, and be happy if we didn't have a loving Savior and Redeemer that went through it to know how to succor His people and to help in a way that ONLY He can help.

I'm a true Nebraskan! I told you about the service project right? WELL, what I didn't tell you was that I rode a tractor! I talked Nebraska football in come contacting and I've been saying ya'll a lot more lately. That's not really Nebraska but its whatever.

This week has been so hard and I'm tired all the time but I feel so good! That doesn't even make sense but this work is amazing!

I love you all so much! This Church is true and our Heavenly Father is in the details.

Love,

Hermana Zendejas
